Don't adjust your computer. These images are purposely out of focus and contain camera shake.
The concept of this project was to capture the energy of the climbers through their movement. Bordering on the abstract, these images contact unpredictable colors, contorted forms, and unusual synthetic rock backdrops. The study highlights the agility, strength, and fluid motion of the climbers, as well as, the spontaniety of a sudden fall.
These images were taken at Boulders Climbing Gym in Madison, WI. None of the climbers were posed. I tried to be as unobtrusive as possible, so as not to break the climbers' concentration.
