Devil's Doorway, Devil's Lake, WI

One of many trips to Devil's Lake.
This was the Beginner's Clinic led by Ryan & Phil.
Ryan lead-climbed Devil's Doorway to set up a top-rope route. He's the guy with the green shirt. All in all, there were about 8 ropes and about 12 routes for the 20 + beginners. Unfortunately, the weather didn't hold out. A steady, soft rain made the rocks very slippery. The good news is that everyone got a few climbs in, learned a few skills, and nobody got hurt. Actually, I fell on my ass 3x hiking down the East Bluff. Soaked and motley, we went to Culver's to warm up and grab a bit. Mmm, butter burgers...
