Drove up to Devil's Lake on Friday afternoon with Betsy and her classmate, Vincent. We hiked the CCC trail and did a few climbs on Brinton's Buttress on the East Rampert. Betsy easily accomplished her first climb EVER, while Vincent negotiated his first Devil's Lake lead climb on Brinton's Crack. The weather was perfect and we climbed until sunset. The hike down was a little dodgy due to the lack of sunlight. Once back in Madison, we had fish, chips, and appropriately had a pint of Devil's Lake Red Lager beer at The Great Dane Pub & Brewery .
