Went skiing last night at Tyrol Basin about 45 minutes west of Madison. The night of skiing was sponsored by the Hoofer Ski & Snowboard Club. It was one of many Winter Carnival activities going on this week. About 500 members of Hoofers signed up for the night of Free Skiing. It's been about 10 years since I last skied, so I started the evening with a few runs down the Bunny Hill using the tow rope. I quickly graduated to the runs accessible by chair lift. By the end of the night my toes were numb and it was time for a well deserved cup of hot cocoa. Can't wait to get back on the slopes!
